Deep stacked again at The Vic!

I have said it before and I will say it again.....I am getting sicker and sicker by the day. Call a doctor now!

After a slow start to the week online with some marginal results, I headed out to The Vic yesterday for my first live session of the week.

I sat in the small £100 game (0.5o/1.00), awaiting the start of the £200 game (1.00/2.00). I managed to ship* around £200 in about 1 hour, through in my opinion creative play!

(*ship=to lose your chips)

I tried to buy pots, and bluff the wrong opponent. This dude would completely ignore over cards on the board, and play his under pairs like the nuts. A complete fish. A complete fish with my money!

I decided to buy in for the £30 Freeze out, which had a full capacity 72 runners. I managed to bust out in 72nd position! Weeeeeeee!

I jumped straight into the £5o game, which was just starting up on a dealer table. We were going to have the trainee dealers, who were going to be actually dealing their first hands ever! They done a good job!

I sat down with my usual £220 at 8pm, and cashed out £1095 at 12am.

One sick hand was against the fish who had my money from the £100 game.

I had 2 2 in the big blind, in a raised pot there was 4 players to the flop. I kindly asked the dealer to flop me a set, and bingo! Flop came down 2 9 K (with two hearts).

Praying that the initial raiser caught some of this flop (with a possible AK holding), and the fact that there was a flush draw out there (with several weak opponents who have no understanding of pot odds) I over bet the pot. Led out with a £44 bet.

I was called by one opponent, the fish from the £100 game. It was a very reluctant call. From his speech, I pretty much established he was drawing to the nut flush.

As the dealer went to burn and turn the next card, I stopped her and rolled out two stacks of reds. A blind bet of £200. Putting my opponent all in, and prayed for a black card!

Turn was indeed a black card. Beautiful. So check this situation out. There is £132 in the pot. I have made a £200 bet. You are flushing, and if for some crazy reason you think your two over cards of A and 10 may also be good if you hit then you have......14 outs (I have the 2 of hearts).

You would need to be getting better than 3:1 for your money in this spot to make this a profitable play.

That is if you thought I was betting out like a mad man with a low pocket pair (under pair to the board!), which is obviously very unlikely.

The fish actually had only 8 outs. With around a 16% chance of making his hand. A very very long shot. However as I said earlier this guy simply is unable to lay a hand down! So he called!

The river was a brick, and the good guy won. The heart could of come, and often does. However I played the hand well, and forced the inexperienced player to make a huge error. Even if the heart would of come, it is a completely unprofitable call for him, and hugely profitable play for me.

I mean no offence to my opponent, I have huge respect to any man willing to sit down at a poker table and a greater respect for opponents willing to put their money in! It takes heart.

I ran pretty good for the rest of the night. However I did make some good moves and plays to accumulate some icing!

Ohhh damn, nearly forgot about the £200 read I made with QQ on a A K 2 board, purely on a tell I had on a player! Sick! Action went: Preflop raise, I smooth call with my queens. He bets out £25 on the flop, I make my read. I call. He bets £5o on the turn. I put him all in for £125 more. He calls. I feel sick. River brick. I show. He mucks.

I am really beginning to play with feel now, and am really confident enough to act upon my reads. Feeling very positive.

I just need to pick my online game up, I am just about break even for the last 1o days.

Anyway, enough!

Yigit out!
