One week from recovery

its been a week since I lost more than half of my bankroll last saturday. I was grinding on the 1/2 pounds sterling no limit game, max cash in 200. I finally built my roll up to 3500, from 1000 and decided to take a shot on the higher limit (max sit down 600). Last saturday, after getting behind, I started chasing my money and lost most of it and I was left with only 1000.

I really felt I had to give up poker after that night. But, after a nights sleep, I couldn't wait to go back in to the vic. I felt a lot smarter and i knew i could make a come back. After a week of being on a good streak, i managed to build up my roll back up to 2700. Yesterday (friday nite), i lost 800 (played a bad session), and today saturday, history was about to repeat itself. In the first 2 hours i was already in for 900 and I was once again back to only 1000.

I knew if i had left after losing that much money, i would not have enough courage to come back in the next day. I took a long walk, and i called both my mates Yigit and Aubergine letting them know of my situation. They knew as much as i did that I was not going to leave the vic. So they gave me words of encouragement, and left it up to me.

It was 10pm, and the vic was gonna close at 4 am. I sat back down with only 300 pounds. At 3 am, my stack was up to 1000 and i decided to leave, i managed to cut my losses to only 100 pounds. I played realy well on my third sit down because i knew i had to, if i didnt i wouldve probably gone broke. :p happy ending for the nite. currently my roll is 1900.

lessons:
1. every sit down, i should play like its my only sit down. Do not get felted!!!!
Do not make mistakes!!!
2. If ure gonna draw in no limit, only spend 10% of ur stack, any more, and ure committing urself to the pot. ( I wasnt strong enough to fold "up and down straight flush draws for expensive prices, A DRAW is a DRAW)

I would like to thank both aubergine and yigit for being there for me, even if it was only thru the phone. :P survived a day to make it big on another.
