Ammm...getting boring..but another winning session!

Played a short session last night....and was able to cash in for another winning session...profit of around £350.

One real key hand....although I got both KK and AA cracked they were not session influencing hands...

99 on the button. I was playing my usual semi loose aggressive style, and raising very frequently. I had not shown down a hand for while. So as you can imagine my £8 raise did not get much respect and I had multiple callers to the flop.

To my delight, I flopped another 9, on a board of Q 9 2 (two hearts). Obviously a very nice flop for me! The action checked around to me, and with multiple opponents in the hand, and a draw heavy board I bet out around 2 thirds of the pot, and prayed for action!

I got a strong check raise from the small blind. Who made it £40 more to call for me. The action folded around to me and I had a decision to make. Do I shove?

What do I have? Is my hand good? Level 1.

What does she have? Level 2.

What does she think I have? Level 3.

What does she think, I think that she has? Level 4.

Now I am pretty my much convinced that my hand is good here.

What does she have? QK,AQ,Q9 for two pair? Big draw? Possible straight flush draw?

Unfortunately my raise would not of defined her range very well, because it was only £6 more to call for her out of the small blind, and she would of anticipated multiple callers behind.

I would however say she was not making a move this big with several players let to act behind her. So I put her on a hand, not air! Two pair possibly.

Now from her point her view, due to my liberal pre flop aggression and my continuation bet frequency, along with the fact that I only bet two thirds of the pot on a flop filled with draws she may think I am weak (or even betting with air).

If she were to think that, then her holding would need not be as strong for her to make this move. However again thinking back to the multiple players still live and to act behind both my bet and her raise, both our holdings gain strength.

With that in mind, I am thinking she is putting me on AQ, QK, KK, AK of hearts, or any suited
connector hands which may of connected with the possible draws on the board (as she knows my pre flop raising range includes these hands).

What does she think, I think she has? Well, she knows me to respect her play in terms of
range, and she knows that I put her down to be a solid player. So I concluded that she would think that I would think she had a strong hand, at the minimum top pair top kicker (MINIMUM!).

So with this information I established that she was strong! Strong enough to call a shove? Yes.

However, if I thought she would call a shove, and wanted a call, there was no need not to slow play my hand, to ensure she built the pot and guarantee to get all the money in.

So I smooth called her raise. I had formulated a plan, to check raise the turn all in.

The turn paired the board. Pretty much sealing the hand for me. I was however worried that this may be a scare card for her, but when I checked to her she bet strong again.

Once I called, we were both committed to the hand.

I shoved once the river card was turned. She called and showed pocket aces.

With my LAG style I am getting into a lot of marginal situations, and forcing myself to go through several levels of thinking and the thought process is definitely developing my game.

Although in the end the above hand would of pretty much played itself, I was not to know, and the exercise of working through a hand is vital.

OK....enough writing!

Yigit out!
